The Statistics Department hosts weekly colloquia on a variety of statistical subjects, bringing in speakers from around the world.

Conferences

GA Statistics Day Conference Series

The University of Georgia will host the first annual event to promote interdisciplinary research within the flagship institutions of the state of Georgia.

IWSM Conference 

The International Workshop in Sequential Methodologies (IWSM) is held annually, and brings together the researchers and practitioners from all areas within sequential methodologies.

DAE Conference

The Design and Analysis of Experiments (DAE) Conference was held at the UGA Hotel and Conference Center on October 17-20, 2012 and attracted many prominent and upcoming statisticians from around the world.

NOGGINS

The Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) Data Analysis Group of the University of Georgia Department of Statistics hosts the NOGGINS Workshop bi-annually. The workshop provides a forum for scientific communication and collaboration between researchers in the area of neuroscience and neuroimaging. 

Annual Events

The Bradley Lecture Series

The Bradley Lecture series provides an opportunity for UGA graduate students to interact with the speaker, typically an eminent statistician of their choice. After a seminar in the afternoon, the speaker gives an after dinner presentation and often stays for the next day's spring picnic to mingle with faculty and students.

The UGA/Clemson Joint Seminar

Biannually the Department of Statistics at the University of Georgia hosts the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Clemson University for the UGA/Clemson Joint Seminar.
