Accepting Applications: Limited-term Assistant Professor

The Department of Statistics at the University of Georgia (UGA) has an opening for a one-year limited-term position at the Assistant Professor level, starting Aug. 14, 2015.  A PhD in Statistics, or a closely related field, is required.  The Department offers a vibrant research environment, with emphases in theoretical statistics, Big Data (genomics and neuroimaging), statistics education, and statistical consulting.  Teaching load for the year is six semester-long courses, three each term.  Some courses will be repeated from Fall to Spring.  Precise assignments will be in accordance with departmental needs, but may include a range of courses from upper-level undergraduate through beginning PhD.
