Guest speaker: David Benkeser David is a graduate of the UGA Department of Statistics and College of Public Health (class of 2010). He completed his PhD at the University of Washington and a post-doctoral fellowship at University of California, Berkeley. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, where he performs biostatistical research related to vaccine development and evaluation, machine learning, causal inference, and HIV prevention. Online Sales Event: The Department of Statistics has partnered with a local vendor in order to bring you updated STAT apparel to celebrate Commencement 2023. Visit our online UGA-STAT Shop from April 5 – April 24 to make your purchases. T-shirts, sweatshirts, and pins are available! Once the online shop closes, the apparel will be printed, and either mailed directly to you, or ready for pick-up on campus from May 9-11. Make sure to only select “Pick-up at reception” if you are already RSVPed to attend the STAT Commencement Reception on May 11th.
