Michele recently celebrated her 31st year at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. Michele is a Health Statistician in the Division of Reproductive Health. Most of her years were spent working on a variety of research studies looking at such topics as oral contraceptive use and the risk of breast cancer, ectopic pregnancy, smoking cessation during pregnancy, and most recently, perinatal transmission of HIV in infants and contraceptive use effectiveness in HIV positive woman. Michele's son graduated from the UGA Terry College of Business in May with a degree in MIS and her daughter is planning to attend UGA in the near future. Type of News/Audience: Alumni
