Applied Bayesian Statistics
Credit Hours:
3 hours

Introduction to theory and methods of the Bayesian approach to statistical inference and data analysis. Covers components of Bayesian analysis (prior, likelihood, posterior), computational algorithms, and philosophical differences among various schools of statistical thought.

Offered spring semester every odd-numbered year. 

Undergraduate Prerequisite: STAT 4510/6510 and STAT 4230/6230 and (MATH 2260 or MATH 2310H or MATH 2410 or MATH 2410H)
Graduate Prerequisite: (STAT 4510/6510 and (STAT 4230/6230 or STAT 6420)) or permission of department
