Statistics student Shuchi Goyal is a recipient of a CURO Research Assistantship for Spring 2018. This award includes a one-semester stipend of $1000 to conduct faculty-mentored research. Xiaoxiao Sun's paper "An asympirical smoothing parameters selection appproach for SS-ANOVA models in large samples" has been selected as one of the winners of this year's student paper competition from the Section on Statistical Computing. The award will be presented at this year's Joint Statistical Meetings held in Vancouver from July 28-August 2. Congratulations Xiaoxiao on this great acheivement!
