Theresa Devasia Awarded Presidential Award of Excellence

Theresa Devasia was nominated by the Statistics Department for the Presidential Award of Excellence. This award recognizes high-achieving students in each college and school. Statistics Team Advances in the Capital One Contest

Congratulations to Statistics students Xianyan Chen, Xiaodong Jiang, Jerry Shi, and Yang Song, who are one of five finalist teams in the Capital One Contest. Analytics Shootout Winners!

Two teams of students from the Department of Statistics placed in the top three teams in the SAS Analytics Shootout. It was announced Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the SAS Analytics 2015 Conference in Las Vegas that the UGA Department of Statistic’s two teams placed first and third.
